Introduction to off-piste

You must be able to ski everywhere on pistes,even though you don’t feel
comfortable on black runs. Come with wider skis (minimum 90 mm waist).
We will ski in ST Martin- Riondaz BUT ALSO: Vallons du Lou, Vallée des Encombres,

Intermediate skiers

Easy off-pistes but you need to have an intermediate level in off-piste and ski-touring.
Big easy (or not easy on demand!!) off-piste runs of 3 Vallées : Mont Vallon, La Masse, Pierre Lory, big
vertical drop descents to Beaune or to other Maurienne places (minimum 1700 m vertical height)…….

Advanced level

You are experienced in off-piste.
Off-piste runs we can do: All the classic off-piste routes of Méribel 6 Val Thorens 3 Vallées, including from top of La Masse + Combe sans nom + Le Clocher south run + All the easy long descents to Le Thyl, Beaune, to Maurienne…. Eventually the Vallée des Avals…; N couloir de la Becca and couloirs de Tougne, etc etc.

Expert or very skilled skiers:

Teaching contents:

  • Ski technique (and VIDEO filming and corrections on demand)
  • Avalanche searching exercises (introduction and more!) +
    How to make ski a group with maximum safety, depending on the number of participants
    What must be the behaviour of every skier in dangerous or potential avalanche terrain?
  • Skilled skiers: where to turn depending on the kind of snow; when and where use COMPRESSION
    TURNS or jumped turns better then classic turns/ How to use less energy to ski = how to understand
    (: to read”) the terrain and use it.
  • Couloirs skiing or snowboarding.

We are really motivated and skilled ski teachers, able to teach you in 8 different languages (English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, german, RUSSIAN…); we aim to make you improve your technique and to help you as much as possible with analytical and technical tips, so as you spend the best holidays and have FUN while improving your skiing!

The price includes

Guiding-ski coaching, the loan of collective safety gear like a DVA transceiver an a shovel for each of you, a probe for every 2 persons, plus free harness and walking crampons (& sometimes an ice-axe) when needed.

The price doesn't include

The ski-pass (forfait), the skis and personal gear rental, the insurance (R.C. + rescue), the possible fares in taxis, the accommodation,. Ski-pass and gear/skis
rental & accommodation will be at your own expense.
