This ski-tour makes you discover the remarkable glacier ranges of Vanoise and Gran Paradiso. In front of the Vanoise mountains, we follow the border of the massif of Gran Paradiso, facing the vertical Italian sides of Mont Blanc and sublime panoramas of the Alps. The Gran Paradiso valleys and its magnificent protected hamlets, give access to a pioneer national park, the first one created in Europe in 1922, sanctuary of ibexes. In this mountains shaped by the glaciers, the passes which we cross are so many belvederes on the highest summits of the massif, their glaciers, and the tops of the quite close nearby highest ranges of Mont Blanc and the matterhorn-Cervin.
On skis in feet, we will ascend and ski down the main passes and glacier summits, for example the summits of Grande Aiguille rousse (3 482 m) and Galise (3 343 m), the Traversière peak (3 338 m), the Beacca di Ghiassone and other Italian peaks, maybe also the Archeboc (3 272 m) and will taste the pleasure of the big off-piste skiing in virgin and protected spaces.
The National park of Vanoise is situated in Savoie, in the massif of the same name which is situated between the valley of Isère, the Tarentaise in the north side and the Arc valley Maurienne in the South. It adjoins the Italian National park of the Gran Paradiso along the border, with which it is coupled since 1972. Together these two national parks constitute the widest protected surface (1250 km ²) in Western Europe. The most spread too.
