Ski-touring WEEK-END Val d’Isère, BEGINNERS

Details of the program

This is a week-end or short stay introduction to backcountry skiing (ski-touring) around Refuge du Fond des Fours, one of the charming VAL d’Isère mountain huts.

We invite you to discover ski-touring (« le ski de rando » as the French say) in the splendid National park of La VANOISE around Val d’Isère, in the beautifulYou will  glaciers’ mountain range of Vanoise, one of the broadest and best  place in Europe and the ALPS for backcountry skiing, either on glaciers or not !

During this trip, whatever your skiing level is, you will not only skin up summits and enjoy skiing down them with gorgeous ski runs, you will also be taught how to use properly you ski-tour skins (skins, ski crampons, heels lifts), how to do the going up kick turns, which kind of technique to use depending on the kind of snow and terrain. Our ski and mountains guides love teaching and will make you improve !!

NO STRESS : we will adapt the skinning up rythm to the one of the slowest of the group, and when skiing down as well : no stress !

We will see spectacular gorgeous dawns and sunsets as well as beautiful landscapes the Parc national de la Vanoise (a paradise for chamois and ibexes) !

Val d’Isère is a fantastic place for ski-touring, for any level of skills ! From the mountain tops, summits of Tignes and Val d’Isère we will have amazing views of famous  peaks like the Mont Blanc 4810 m, and Matterhorn (Cervin).
